No free lunches or iPads!

Any time someone says that you can get it for free, you should immediately step back away from the offer. As they say there are no free lunches. The cost can be as simple as giving your email address to them but most times the promise of free is that you have to buy something else.

Free iPad just for (fill in the blank)..... you go to the FREE website and give your email address and address...innoculous info on the first page and hit CONTINUE and that's when they ask for more detailed info....remember that even if you stop there, they have your email address and other stuff that just because you CANCEL or X out, is still in their database. (You should have an email address that you use for these kinds of things that is separated from other email addresses that you need to read regularly)

But if you decide it is still worth it to get a free iPad and you continue you find that you must buy something. Well you think that it is still cheaper than an iPad so you give them your credit card info and off you go.

But MOST of these are just scams and before the iPad arrives or even the item you thought you had to purchase, you are finding charges on your credit card.

So now you are out the money you paid for a bogus item that may or may not ever come, and you didn't get an iPad and now you have to fight with your credit card or at least cancel the card and wait a week to get the card replaced....

Not really free, is it?
